Congratulations Penny and Patrick. Rollercoaster have played the Lansdowne Club before, and have fond memories of it. After a very tasty meal, overlooking the swimming pool, we headed upstairs to the venue. The room itself has a high ceiling, so sound tends to bounce around… though this isn’t a problem with a crowd in front of you to absorb any reflections… and there was certainly a crowd throughout the whole night. These guys were an absolute pleasure to play to. The wedding party was 30-40% Irish, + a contingent from around the world, including a few from Australia (the happy couple had requested Land Down Under, so we obliged).
It was a fantastic gig to end the week on – Penny and Patrick are a lovely couple, who were incredibly welcoming and had some very kind words after the gig (over the mic). We look forward to playing their wedding anniversaries 😉
