Congratulations Gemma and Matt. This was a marquee wedding reception, which is a favourite for the band, as the sound is second to none. We were recommended by Hannah and Tiff, whose wedding we had also played (which led on to about 4 other bookings for the band!)… so a big thanks to those guys.
There was a great vibe about this wedding from the start – with friendly catering staff, and a warm welcome from Gemma and Matt as we arrived. It was a kid friendly marquee – we moved various Pepper Pig items from the stage before we set up.
First dance was Thinking Of You by Paul Weller, played by the band. We had the 5 piece setup (including fiddle and keys), so it was a full sound, and we pushing on into the set. It was a later start, so we to a short break then pushed on past midnight.
It was a fun wedding to play – many thanks for looking after us, and best of luck in the future to Matt and Gemma.
