We had met these guys one year before at a Bury Court Open day… and before we knew it, the big day had arrived. We had Ceilidh booked, so had the pleasure of Chris Haigh on fiddle, and Jason on calling duties. After that (and a short break – it was a hot evening), we pushed on with the set. The first dance had been For Once In My Life, played by the band… which was definitely one of the more challenging songs to learn – but an absolute pleasure to play!
Bury Court is a lovely venue, with great staff and caterers (Jacaranda)… so the night went without a hitch, with the crowd dancing throughout.
