Congratulations Ailsa and Kit! This was a return visit to the venue for Rollercoaster. Cocktail duo were booked for the afternoon, so it was a Rollercoaster day… leading on to the evening reception, when the rest of the band arrived (it was the 4 piece format, including fiddle). This venue insists on the electric drum kit – which is actually quite fun to play with for the rest of the band – meaning we can get a good balance of instruments… though it’s not as much fun for the drummer, not that he ever shows it! First dance was Galway Girl, with the words ‘hair was red’ and ‘Guildford Girl’ substituted… and then we pushed on to a packed dance floor. After the break, we continued, with the dance floor filling up when we hit tracks such as Sex On Fire, and I’ve Gotta Feelin’. The night finished on 500 Miles, with everyone on the dance floor… followed by many compliments form the guests as they departed, and we packed up!
