A beautiful location for a wedding, in the ground of the family house, backing onto a picturesque lake. Two Many Cooks were catering – so the food was stunning (the band had chicken pie… which was the BEST chicken pie in the world EVER!!!)… and Two Many Cooks boss girl / ‘Rollercoaster bride’ Emily, was in charge… so this was going to be a good party!
First dance was Higher and Higher, played by the band, which was a great song to play, and will most likely remain in the set from now on. The crowd danced all night – there were no lulls, as we played through all the genres… it was simply a great crowd, and with Chris Haigh on fiddle, we stormed on through the night – right up to the last song at midnight. It had rained earlier, but this didn’t dampen the spirits in anyway.
This was a truly special wedding to play – Charlie and Sophia were a lovely couple. Huge thank you for looking after us and making us so welcome – best of luck in the future!
