Happy Birthday Claire. Having seen the band at Henry and Charlotte’s wedding last year ( Henry and Charlotte’s Wedding), Claire booked us in on the closest available date to her 40th… and asked if we could do a Country Dancing or hoedown section, as the night would be ‘Country Themed’. We rose to the challenge, and with checked shirts on, we set off for the little village of Brasted Churt… taking Country to the country.
Claire had put in loads off effort – the gardens looked fantastic, with hay bales, flags, marquee, wagon wheels etc… and she had plenty of help from her gang of little cowgirls, who were on hand with pretzels and popcorn! The band looked the part, as you can see from the photo!
We had the full line up – and under the tutorage of Chris Haigh, we had pulled together a fantastic country dancing set. Jason was handling the calling, and when the time came, the guests headed in to the marquee and danced away.
After a short break we jumped back in, this time with a few country favourites, and then on into the main set. The crowd were fantastic, and we played on through until 1am.
Big thanks to Claire and Will (and their three young cowgirls) for being so hospitable – we were totally looked after. It was certainly a fun show to play, and great to perform in something other than the usual suits. Food for thought, as we may start offering this as an option when booking the band! Have a great Birthday Claire – it was definitely worth all the planning and effort!

Alistair, Holly, Jason, Chris, Rob and the team. You made Brownfork the best party ever! We have had so many thank you cards and without fail you are mentioned as the key ingredient to a great bash. Thank you so very much. It was worth turning 40 three months early to have you there. We will recommend you to everybody!
