Loseley is a great venue for a wedding – it’s a long hall, with enough space to set the band up in front of the dance floor, whilst at the other end, the guests are served their wedding breakfast. Outside the views are stunning, and with no immediate neighbours to worry about, there are no sound or timing restrictions. The very excellent Caper and Berry handled the catering, with friendly staff all round to help with anything. We setup, and after a brief sound-check we pushed on with the first set (Harriet and Chris had decided to not have a first dance, so we started with Higher and Higher). This was the 5 piece – including fiddle and female vocalist – so Holly’s songs shone, and Jason, as always, wowed the cords with his fiddling prowess! They were a friendly bunch, and were a pleasure to play to – very appreciative, especially around songs like I’ve Got A Feeling, and Mr Brightside.
Great crowd to play to – thanks for looking after us, best of luck in the future!
