Congratulations Jo and Chris.
A hefty trek for the band up north, but a stunning location to arrive at. The marquee was situated 100 yards from the banks of the River Tweed, next to the beautiful family home. The grounds looked amazing, as did the marquee, inside and out.
The Rollercoaster cocktail duo took to the lawn, to entertain the guests with their fresh blend of gypsy swing jazz – a perfect compliment to the champagne and canopes.
After the cocktail reception, then speeches inside, the guests sat down to eat, and the band tucked into a hearty lasagne followed by X Men First Class in the green room!
10.30 the band hit the stage and played the first dance (Beggin by Frankie Vali And The Four Seasons), going straight into a couple of reels. The crowd whirled and twirled away, with Jason packed the dancers into the dance floor… Then we pushed on into the main set – which was about
90 minutes of high energy tunes, starting with Twist And Shout. High lights were Get Lucky, Lion Man, and as we were in Scotland, 500 miles! Drummer Chris DJd through till 1, and we packed up as the party continued… And as we left at around 2, there didn’t seem to be much indications of the revellers calling it a night.
It was a fantastic wedding to play, a fun energetic crowd, and a warm and welcoming bride and groom!
Thanks for looking after us, best of luck in the future!
