Back at Cafe De Paris in the centre of Soho London. One of the most characterful venues we have played – unique layout, with a real style. A party organised for The Man Group investment company, by the very fine event company – Chew Events (we played partner Matt’s wedding at Brocket Hall… then played the other partners Rich’s brothers wedding a few weeks ago). We had the full 7 piece band, female vocals, keys, fiddle’s etc… which was quite cosy on stage (Chris drums was at the back of the stage in the alcove, with Alistair and Holly up front).
The guests came in at 6.30, so the band chilled backstage… later a duo of Man Group employee girls wowed the crowds with a set of songs – they sounded fantastic, and looked the part too! After that, ‘Chloe’ from X-Factor performed a set (after which she moved through the crowds doing a ‘meet and greet’.)
We hit the stage with a full party set. It was great to play a whole variety of tracks. the crowds went for it, as did the band! After the break, we pushed on with the classics, old and new, right through to Fairytale Of New York…
They were a great crowd to play to – some incredible dancing going on! Have a great Christmas, and a wonderful New Year!
