Congratulations Nicola and David. This was the bands 4th wedding of the week, so it felt like we were running on rails – well and truly into wedding season. We had Jason joining us on fiddle, which was great as there were a few Irish guests present… it was all set to be one big party. Beautiful surroundings, stunning gardens, and lovely inside the venue – an irresistible sweet table proved to hard to resist, and during the wedding breakfast, the singing waiters entertained the folk in the great hall. The band tested out the rather splendid Photo Booth… and then we pushed on with the setup.
First dance was How Long Will I Love You – the Ellie Goulding version. We then launched into Toss the Feathers, followed by Galway Girl, then on into the set… Irish tunes interspersed with the old favourites… for all generations! After a Hog Roast break, we pushed on, right through to 1am… closing the night with Fairytale Of New York.
Great crowd – very appreciative and a joy to play to. Big thanks to David and Nicola who made the band feel so welcome – best of luck in the future – hopefully see you all again soon!
