This was a local gig, in a beautiful marquee, set in the grounds of a lovely house in the popular village of Churt. We setup in time to allow the mic to be used for some speeches, then after the meal was served, we pushed on with the set. We had to cater for people in their 60s, 20’s, and actually the ones in between… but this was no problem, as this crowd were up for a party form the word go. As the timings were pushed later, we played one long set without a break. There were some great shapes thrown on the dance floor, and at one point the entire party were dancing crouched low to the ground… which was a first during 500 Miles!!
It was a wonderful event to play – thanks for looking after us, and happy Birthday to William and Claire!!
